The Parachute Adams is one of the most popular fly patterns used nowadays. It is meant to resemble an adult mayfly, but it is often fished when no hatch is present. The multicolored wings and white top make it an irresistible meal for fish to take. This fly was developed in both Scotland and America.

This fly pattern can technically be used to imitate a large number of mayflies making it a great all-around hook to have. Fly fishing anglers also will use it to imitate a caddis fly as well. They will slightly skitter it across the water, providing just enough action to get a strike. The Parachute Adams is mainly used as an attractor fly.

I personally carry two different sizes with me, whether I am hitting the river, stream, or lake, the Parachute Adams comes in handy.
